Moving An Ocean Away

My foolish mistake was thinking life at home would pause while i was away.
As a matter of fact i returned, my family aged & i even lost some of my loved ones forever.
Once you are back you are again a stranger to many, isn’t it crazy how fast life evolves?
Home is safety but also the immense remorse of nostalgia, one that will never be realized again.
Consumed by the sorrow of how everything changed, childhood is envisioned, the innocence of absolute freedom, pure imagination and no notion of time.
I remember my routines, playing by the fields, riding my horses & creating the most incredible games. Those were times where horizons never existed, dawn or twilight felt the same to me.
It is true when they say moving away makes you lose yourself, but in the end we need to do so in order to re-find ourselves
and that’s the beauty of life.
